A summer Romance, out on the town

Friday: A Summer Romance, Out on the Town
Getting Dressed Up to Fall in Love Again
It’s the Summer of Love, remember?
And just because you’re married doesn’t mean the spark has to fade.
It doesn’t mean you only get to feel desirable, flirty, or feminine in your twenties.
And God forbid we become more like roommates than lovers.
This week, we’re not talking sweatpants and reruns.
We’re talking getting dressed up, going out, and remembering who you are.
Make a reservation. Book the babysitter. Text him and let him know you have romance on the mind
Pull out that dress you forgot you owned—the one that hugs in all the right places and makes you feel like you again.
Let yourself get a little extra ready.
Put on earrings. Lip gloss. A spritz of perfume that smells like summer and memories.
Create a fun playlist that puts you in the mood for romance—and makes you feel just the right kind of sexy.
This evening is all about reconnecting.
With your femininity. With fun. With the man who still makes your heart beat a little faster when he looks at you that way.
Carrie Underwood Said It Best…
Where do the days go?
When I heard those lyrics, I thought—yes.
This is what so many of us are craving.
Remembering what it feels like to be pursued. To be kissed in a dark parking lot.
To feel like you’re still someone’s whole world.
Sometimes love just gets… covered up in life.
But it’s still there.
And it only takes a night—a sexy outfit , a patio table, a candle flicker—to bring it rushing back.
This Week’s Romance Challenge:
• Plan one night out, just the two of you
• Dress up—even if it’s just for drinks and an appetizer
• Turn your phone on silent
• Let yourself enjoy being in love right now
Because you’re still her
You’re still the one he chose
And love gets to feel fun again

Make a “Get Ready” playlist—songs that remind you of when it all began, mixed with a few current favorites that make you feel confident, pretty, and alive.
Sip a drink while you get ready.
Put on a summery makeup look bronzer and a lovely gloss
Let yourself anticipate the evening— as a girl with her fella
