Prayers and Prescriptions for the Anxious Heart
Posted on April 19 2026
I started writing this book a couple of years ago, but the story behind it goes back much further… to a time when anxiety wasn’t something people really talked about.
Back then, I didn’t really know anyone who had anxiety. And when I tried to explain what I was feeling, I felt very alone and misunderstood.
I remember feeling like an outsider in my own body.
Like… would I ever feel like myself again?
Years later, I took an author’s course, and something about that simple advice stayed with me:
write the book you wish you had.
And in a quiet way, I knew.
Prayers and Prescriptions for the Anxious Heart (you may remember it as Peace in My Purse) holds a very personal part of my life—walking through anxiety, grief, and slowly finding my footing again with God.
I didn’t just learn how to cope with anxiety…
I truly came through it.
And I’ve always wanted to share this with you, in case you’ve ever felt the way I did.
I hope it becomes something you can come back to.
