Forsche’s Final Countdown Chili
Ingredients
2 lbs beefone green pepper
1 tsp dried basil
1 pack bacon
one red pepper
1 tsp salt
1 lbs Italian Sausage
one jalapeno
1 tsp pepper
1 can chilli beans
1 can of corn
1 tsp cayenne pepper
1 can brown beans
½ cup of beer
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 can BBQ beans
¼ cup of chili powder
1 tsp liquid smoke
1 can kidney beans
1 tbspworechestershire sauce
1 tbsp white sugar
1 can diced tomatoes
3 cloves minced garlic
1 tbsp maple syrup
1 can tomato paste
1 tbsp oregano
2 bay leaves
One yellow onion
2 tsp cumin
1 tbsp creole spice
2 stalkscelery
1 tbsp siracha
Directions
1. Set the oven at 350, and preheat, and place bacon on cooking tray and cook for 20 min. Cook until just crispy.
2. Take the casing off the Italian sausage and place in a large pot with olive oil (1 tbsp). Also add the beef. Brown the meat entirely.
3. Finely dice the onion, green pepper, red pepper, jalapeno and garlic.
4. Once the veggies are cooked add the beans, tomatoes, and the beer.
5. In a pan on low heat add the can of corn but first drain the fluid from the can. Add the liquid smoke and once the bacon is cooked, let it cool and then cut into fine pieces and add to the corn. Here the liquid smoke will infuse into the corn and bacon. Put a lid on it and simmer for 10 minutes – 30 minutes on low.
6. Add all the spices to the pot and stir very, very thoroughly. Cook on low heat for hours with the lid on. Stirring, and keeping it mixed and simmering.
7. Take the lid off and simmer low so it thickens if necessary.
8. After time Taste and add anything you would like such as spice and adjust taste to your liking.
9. Eat with fresh buns and butter, and nachos chips and sour crème and cheese on top.
enjoy 😉
